We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Tampa, Florida. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to lead accounting process improvements and optimize system efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial operations and significant experience with D365 systems. Responsibilities: • Evaluate and enhance existing accounting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. • Oversee the cleanup and restructuring of D365 systems to ensure stability and optimal functionality. • Collaborate with team members to streamline accounts receivable, accounts payable, and sales operations. • Design and implement governance maps and permission structures within the system. • Develop and organize file structures and SharePoint libraries for improved data management. • Create dashboards to provide actionable insights into financial performance. • Analyze inherited data and establish best practices for its organization. • Generate detailed financial reports and key performance indicators for decision-making. • Ensure the chart of accounts is properly configured and address any necessary adjustments. • Work with the accounting department to drive improvements in day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities of the Controller will include, but not limited to the following. -- Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger activities, month-end and year-end close, and internal controls. -- Prepare and review board reporting packages, ensuring complete, accurate, and actionable financial insights for executive leadership and the board of directors. -- Monitor, interpret, and report on compliance with debt covenants; maintain communication with lenders and proactively manage any issues or reporting requirements. -- Collaborate with management on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic planning. -- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements. -- Implement and improve accounting procedures and financial controls as needed. -- Support external audits and serve as the primary point of contact for auditors. -- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support growth and operational efficiency.
