- We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead the day-to-day accounting and financial operations for a growing organization in the racing and motorsports sector based in North Carolina. This role is ideal for a hands-on finance specialist who can manage core accounting activities while strengthening budgeting, forecasting, and cash planning processes. The Controller will work closely with leadership and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial reporting and supporting operational decision-making.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee daily accounting functions, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and financial records remain current and reliable.<br>• Direct the monthly close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, and preparation of timely financial statements for leadership review.<br>• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll activities to support smooth and efficient financial operations.<br>• Build and refine budgeting and forecasting practices to provide clearer visibility into financial performance and future planning.<br>• Monitor cash flow and treasury activity, helping the business maintain strong liquidity and informed spending decisions.<br>• Administer purchasing and inventory-related financial controls, including oversight of purchase order activity and stock reporting accuracy.<br>• Partner closely with leadership to provide financial insight, highlight risks, and support strategic and operational decisions.<br>• Maintain and improve accounting workflows within QuickBooks and related processes to support efficiency and reporting accuracy.
