The ideal candidate will bring expertise in fund accounting, consolidations, and financial reporting to support a growing portfolio of properties. Responsibilities: • Lead and manage the accounting operations for a portfolio of real estate investments, ensuring accuracy and compliance. • Oversee the month-end close process, including the preparation of financial statements and reconciliations. • Collaborate with consultants and internal teams to optimize fund accounting processes and recommend system improvements. • Manage consolidated financial reporting, including intercompany eliminations, to ensure clear and accurate results. • Provide direction and mentorship to a team of senior accountants, supporting their growth and development. • Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals to facilitate audits and ensure regulatory compliance. • Utilize Yardi and other accounting tools to streamline processes and improve financial oversight. • Support the integration of fund-level accounting tasks into in-house operations, ensuring a seamless transition. • Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. • Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the organization's financial integrity.
