The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment while managing complex reconciliations and ensuring the accuracy of financial data.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Perform <strong>heavy account reconciliations</strong>, including bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, prepaid expenses, accruals, and fixed asset accounts</li><li>Prepare, review, and post <strong>journal entries</strong> with appropriate supporting documentation</li><li>Maintain and analyze the <strong>general ledger</strong> to ensure financial data is accurate, complete, and properly recorded</li><li>Lead or support the <strong>month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close</strong> process</li><li>Investigate, research, and resolve reconciling items, discrepancies, and account variances in a timely manner</li><li>Prepare detailed <strong>account analyses</strong>, schedules, and rollforwards for key balance sheet and income statement accounts</li><li>Assist with preparation of <strong>internal financial reports</strong> and supporting schedules</li><li>Support external and internal audits by preparing requested documentation and reconciliations</li><li>Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls</li><li>Partner with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and operations teams to resolve accounting issues and improve data accuracy</li><li>Identify and implement process improvements related to reconciliations, close procedures, and general ledger maintenance</li><li>Assist with special projects, system implementations, and ad hoc reporting as needed</li></ul><p><br></p>
