This hands-on leadership role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounting processes from transaction entry through financial statement preparation, and supporting operational efficiency within the production environment.Key Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities Core Accounting & Financial Operations• Oversee daily accounting activities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash transactions, and bank reconciliations.• Assist in the accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.• Maintain strong internal controls over financial transactions and reporting. ERP & Systems• Assist with system enhancements, reporting improvements, and accounting process efficiencies related to ERP usage.• Develop, document, and maintain accounting procedures and workflows. Audit & Compliance Support• Assist the Controller with internal and external audits by preparing reconciliations, schedules, and requested documentation.• Support compliance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements, including those relevant to California food and dairy manufacturing operations.• Assist with sales/use tax, property tax, and other required filings, as applicable.
