- <p>Our client, a growing and highly respected healthcare organization, is seeking an experienced <strong>Controller</strong> to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, grant compliance, budgeting, and financial systems initiatives. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a key leadership role with significant visibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on both organizational performance and community outcomes.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p>The Controller will oversee all accounting and financial operations for a complex healthcare organization with annual revenues exceeding $60 million. This individual will provide leadership across financial reporting, audit, budgeting, grant administration, internal controls, compliance, and financial systems optimization.</p><p>This role will directly manage an Accounting Manager and Grant Manager while serving as a strategic partner to executive leadership.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilitie</strong>s</p><ul><li>Lead all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash management, and fixed assets.</li><li>Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.</li><li>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.</li><li>Coordinate annual audits and manage external auditor relationships.</li><li>Maintain strong internal controls and financial policies.</li><li>Oversee accounting and financial administration of federal, state, and private grant-funded programs.</li><li>Ensure compliance with Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200) and grant reporting requirements.</li><li>Monitor grant budgets, expenditures, drawdowns, reimbursements, and reporting deadlines.</li><li>Partner with operational leaders to support budgeting, compliance, and grant performance.</li><li>Lead grant-related audits and compliance reviews.</li><li>Lead annual operating and capital budgeting processes.</li><li>Develop financial forecasts and strategic financial models.</li><li>Monitor financial performance and provide variance analysis to senior leadership.</li><li>Support strategic decision-making through data-driven financial insights.</li><li>Lead ERP and financial systems optimization initiatives.</li><li>Drive automation and process improvement efforts.</li><li>Utilize business intelligence, analytics, and dashboard reporting tools.</li><li>Partner with leadership on finance transformation and technology projects.</li><li>Develop, mentor, and lead accounting and finance staff.</li><li>Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Support professional development and succession planning within the finance team.</li></ul>
