<p>We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Hoover and Birmingham Alabama. This is a short-term contract position, ideal for someone seeking hands-on experience in financial and accounting operations. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and contributing to the smooth running of the accounting department.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Maintain and update financial, statistical, and accounting records with precision.</p><p>• Perform data entry and prepare financial reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.</p><p>• Verify and reconcile teller sheets from multiple locations.</p><p>• Handle daily bank deposits by totaling checks and preparing deposit slips.</p><p>• Review and record employee expenses into the general ledger.</p><p>• Process accounts payable checks in a timely manner.</p><p>• Post journal entries to the general ledger as needed.</p><p>• Assist with balancing and reconciliation tasks for the organization.</p>
