We are looking for an experienced Applications Architect to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role is based in Atlanta, Georgia, and focuses on shaping integration strategies within the retail industry. As a key contributor, you will design scalable solutions, modernize legacy systems, and drive the adoption of advanced architectural practices.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Lead the development of integration architectures to enhance operational efficiency and unlock new opportunities.<br>• Design and implement a streaming-first model for data production, transport, and consumption across enterprise zones.<br>• Collaborate with peer architects to establish standards for streaming patterns and service operation.<br>• Prototype and validate architectural patterns to ensure performance, operability, and scalability.<br>• Modernize existing point-to-point integration systems by transitioning to data-producing and event-driven models.<br>• Define deployment strategies for local applications on Kubernetes, ensuring reliable interaction with PLCs and IIoT devices.<br>• Establish reusable components and patterns for producer–consumer and publish–subscribe semantics.<br>• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align objectives and navigate complex organizational environments.<br>• Create comprehensive documentation, decision records, and playbooks to support delivery teams.
