  • We are looking for a skilled 3rd Shift Automation/CNC Technician to support overnight manufacturing operations in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This position plays an important role in keeping automated equipment and CNC machinery running efficiently while helping maintain production quality and output. The ideal candidate brings hands-on technical ability, sound mechanical judgment, and a strong commitment to safe, accurate, and reliable performance in a fast-paced production setting.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Support the movement of raw materials and finished products to keep production flowing without interruption.<br>• Monitor output, scrap, and quality results during the shift and respond quickly to issues that affect uptime or performance.<br>• Perform routine machine resets and make minor equipment adjustments to restore normal operation.<br>• Run Swiss-style CNC lathes and related equipment to produce parts that meet rate and quality expectations.<br>• Complete equipment setups efficiently so assigned jobs can begin on schedule and run correctly.<br>• Inspect first-run, in-process, and final parts using precision measuring tools and documented quality procedures.<br>• Record production data and carry out basic operator-level maintenance activities.<br>• Troubleshoot tooling, mechanical, and equipment concerns and assist with repairs or part replacement as needed.<br>• Investigate causes of scrap, downtime, and throughput loss, then take corrective action to improve performance.<br>• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation while supporting housekeeping, safety, and workplace organization standards.
