A strong candidate for this job will be looking for career growth potential, and be capable of processing 200+ invoices per week.</p><p> </p><p>Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Balance bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in a number of different ledgers</li><li>Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks</li><li>Review status of delinquent accounts daily and initiate collection action by contacting customers</li><li>Process payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP</li><li>Confirm documents and codes</li><li>Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization</li><li>Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans</li><li>Provide information, as requested to the sales/marketing department, shippers, customers, and other stakeholders</li></ul><p><br></p>
<p>Clerks will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. For immediate consideration apply today!</p><p>Customer Invoicing:</p><p>· Generate and issue invoices to customers in a timely manner.</p><p>· Ensure accuracy and completeness of invoice details.</p><p>Billing Disputes:</p><p>· Resolve billing discrepancies with customers promptly.</p><p>· Communicate with internal teams to address and correct billing issues.</p><p>Payment Processing:</p><p>· Record and apply customer payments to their respective accounts.</p><p>· Reconcile payments received with outstanding invoices.</p><p>Credit Management:</p><p>· Evaluate and set credit limits for customers.</p><p>· Monitor customer credit balances and follow up on overdue payments.</p><p>Cash Application:</p><p>· Apply cash received to the appropriate customer accounts.</p><p>· Reconcile discrepancies between payments and invoices.</p><p>Aging Reports:</p><p>· Generate and analyze accounts receivable aging reports.</p><p>· Identify and address overdue accounts and potential risks.</p><p>Customer Communication:</p><p>· Communicate with customers regarding payment terms and outstanding balances.</p><p>· Provide necessary documentation and information to support payment inquiries.</p><p>Refunds and Adjustments:</p><p>· Process customer refunds or adjustments when necessary.</p><p>· Ensure proper documentation and approval for any adjustments.</p><p>Reconciliation:</p><p>· Reconcile accounts receivable sub-ledger with the general ledger.</p><p>· Investigate and resolve any variances between the two.</p><p> </p>
