We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In this role, you will act as a financial advisor and controller for designated business units, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strong internal controls. You will also play a key role in enhancing accounting processes, providing technical expertise, and delivering actionable financial insights to support strategic decision-making.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage month-end close processes, including journal entries and general ledger reconciliations, to ensure timely and accurate reporting.<br>• Prepare and analyze financial forecasts and reports to support strategic planning and operational decisions.<br>• Oversee compliance with accounting standards such as GAAP and IFRS, as well as internal control procedures.<br>• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain the accuracy of account reconciliations.<br>• Provide technical accounting expertise and operational guidance to internal stakeholders.<br>• Lead initiatives aimed at improving accounting efficiency, accuracy, and system functionality.<br>• Coordinate with auditors to facilitate internal and external audit processes.<br>• Mentor accounting staff at the entry level to enhance team capabilities and ensure consistency in applying systems and procedures.<br>• Support manufacturing cost accounting activities, including labor and material analyses.<br>• Identify and address financial risks to ensure operational continuity and reporting accuracy.
<p>Seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Manager with at least one year of hands-on accounting experience to oversee and strengthen financial operations for our growing, Albuquerque-based nonprofit organization. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, this role manages all accounting functions including financial reporting, reconciliations, audits, tax compliance, budgeting, grants, and supervision of AR/AP staff, while ensuring adherence to nonprofit and corporate accounting standards. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting skills, proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel, and the ability to grow into a leadership role supporting strategic decision-making.
