The ideal candidate has hands-on experience running payroll out of QuickBooks for a mid-to-large workforce across multiple states, understands payroll compliance and deadlines, and brings a proactive, “go get ’em” mindset to problem-solving and process improvement. In addition to payroll, this role will assist with Accounts Payable and general accounting tasks, serving as a true accounting partner rather than a transactional processor. This is a full-time position with an approximate salary of $60,000, offering room to grow as the accounting function continues to evolve.</p>

The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills and a commitment to precision, supporting company leadership with timely financial insights.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Handle the full cycle of bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.</p><p>• Perform bank account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.</p><p>• Generate monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.</p><p>• Maintain accurate journal entries and general ledger records to ensure compliance.</p><p>• Oversee daily office operations, such as managing petty cash, handling mail, and ordering office supplies.</p><p>• Coordinate basic IT support and vendor management to maintain operational efficiency.</p><p>• Prepare and submit required filings in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.</p><p>• Develop and distribute regular financial reports to assist management decision-making.</p><p>• Ensure proper documentation and organization of records for audits and compliance.</p><p>• Support leadership with ad-hoc projects and administrative tasks as needed.</p>

This role supports a national government contractor with approximately 350 employees and requires hands-on expertise in QuickBooks Online, including reconciliations, month-end close, and the preparation of accurate financial statements. The Lead Accountant will be responsible for producing a complete set of financials, maintaining strong analytical oversight of Accounts Receivable, and ensuring financial data integrity across multiple projects and locations. Ideal candidates bring strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of accounting in a government contracting environment, and the ability to both execute and review detailed accounting work. This is a full-time, onsite role, Monday through Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.</p>
