We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant level candidate to join our client's team in West Palm Beach, Florida. This role is pivotal in supporting the Controller with overseeing the Accounting Department and ensuring accurate financial operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and strong technical accounting skills. Someone who is coming directly out of public accounting is strongly preferred Responsibilities:• Supervise and manage all aspects of the Accounting Department, including accounts payable, payroll, receivables, and general ledger accounting.• Assist in the preparation of comprehensive budgets.• Support the Controller in generating financial forecasts and analyzing budgetary performance against actual results.• Ensure timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting requirements for both internal and external stakeholders.• Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns, including personal property, sales and use, and real estate taxes.• Develop and implement procedures to ensure compliance with corporate policies and internal controls.• Collaborate with auditors by providing necessary financial information and addressing audit findings.• Approve expenditures and invoices while adhering to company guidelines.• Work closely with department managers to ensure accurate application of general ledger accounting and cost coding.• Recruit, develop, and manage department staff by providing training opportunities, delegating tasks, and evaluating performance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.• Current Public Accounting Experience• CPA strongly preferred
