We are looking for an experienced Webmaster to join our team on a contract basis in Washington, District of Columbia. This role involves providing technical leadership and guidance to ensure the effectiveness, scalability, and security of our web platforms. You will collaborate across departments, manage technical architecture decisions, and maintain high-quality coding standards.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient web platform architectures.<br>• Review code to ensure quality, adherence to standards, and implementation of best practices.<br>• Provide technical support and direction to the development team, helping resolve complex issues.<br>• Identify and implement appropriate tools and technologies to optimize web performance.<br>• Work closely with project managers to ensure timely delivery of web development projects.<br>• Collaborate with various departments to align technical solutions with organizational objectives.<br>• Communicate technical updates and concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.<br>• Monitor industry trends and incorporate innovative practices to maintain competitive web platforms.<br>• Assess risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential technical challenges.<br>• Ensure alignment between technical efforts and broader business strategies.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.<br>• Extensive experience in software development, including proficiency in programming languages and web technologies.<br>• Proven ability to lead projects or teams, with strong mentoring and management skills.<br>• Expertise in web development tools and technologies, such as HTML, CSS, Drupal, and responsive design.<br>• Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.<br>• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.<br>• Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with team members and stakeholders.<br>• Commitment to staying updated with evolving web development practices and technologies.
