Office Manager
We are looking for an organized and proactive Office Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure the smooth functioning of our workspace. Based in Washington, District of Columbia, this contract position requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle administrative tasks, maintain office organization, and create a welcoming environment for guests and staff. The ideal candidate will have experience managing office supplies, coordinating facilities, and supporting general administrative needs.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Open and close the office daily, following established procedures to ensure security and readiness.<br>• Welcome visitors, clients, and vendors with courtesy and assist them as needed.<br>• Manage front desk operations, ensuring seamless communication and organization.<br>• Organize conference rooms by setting up and cleaning them, ensuring they are stocked and ready for use.<br>• Oversee kitchen areas by maintaining cleanliness, restocking supplies, and ensuring an organized setup.<br>• Handle mailroom operations, including sorting incoming mail, preparing outgoing shipments, and coordinating deliveries.<br>• Maintain overall office cleanliness and orderliness, ensuring workspaces are functional and tidy.<br>• Provide administrative and operational support for ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
• Proven experience in administrative office management or a similar role.<br>• Ability to order and maintain office supplies efficiently.<br>• Familiarity with accounts payable (AP) processes.<br>• Strong receptionist skills, including excellent communication and customer service.<br>• Organizational skills to ensure a clean and well-maintained office environment.<br>• Proficiency in managing mailroom operations and coordinating deliveries.<br>• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.<br>• Comfortable working in a contract-based position.
