Contracts Administrator
<p>We are looking for a skilled Contracts Administrator to join a dynamic legal team in Washington, District of Columbia. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to contribute to the legal operations of a national nonprofit organization focused on environmental advocacy. The role requires exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as experience in managing contracts and supporting transactional workflows. For immediate consideration, apply today and contact Grace Nowlin at (202) 998-8423 for additional information.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Review incoming contracts to ensure correct template usage, proper formatting, and accuracy, while providing initial edits or drafting as needed.</p><p>• Facilitate the signature process for contracts, including scanning, filing, and distributing finalized agreements.</p><p>• Track contract requests and maintain accurate records in established forms and databases.</p><p>• Update contract templates, guidance tools, and management systems to ensure current and efficient processes.</p><p>• Manage departmental calendars by scheduling meetings, client calls, and appointments, while ensuring deadlines and key reminders are noted.</p><p>• Coordinate logistics for meetings and training sessions, including preparing agendas, distributing materials, arranging video links or conference rooms, and documenting notes.</p><p>• Handle routine communications by answering inquiries, routing information as needed, and flagging urgent matters for review.</p><p>• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance business processes and maintain the quality of legal operations.</p><p>• Support compliance with procurement requirements and federal award regulations, ensuring adherence to applicable standards. </p>
• Proven experience in contract administration and management, ideally within the nonprofit sector.<br>• Familiarity with Uniform Guidance and procurement requirements for federally funded organizations.<br>• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to independently troubleshoot and solve problems.<br>• Proficiency in maintaining databases and tracking systems related to contracts.<br>• Effective communication skills for handling inquiries and coordinating tasks with internal and external stakeholders.<br>• Experience with scheduling and meeting coordination, including preparation of agendas and documentation.<br>• Knowledge of legal and compliance processes within a nonprofit or environmental advocacy organization is highly preferred.
