We are looking for an experienced Front-End Developer to join our team in Syracuse, New York. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work on modernizing WordPress ecosystems, ensuring compatibility with cutting-edge technologies, and optimizing user experiences. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in WordPress development, JavaScript, and GitHub, as well as a passion for delivering high-quality solutions tailored to complex requirements.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Upgrade WordPress themes to support the latest WordPress core and ensure compatibility with required technologies.<br>• Replace outdated systems, such as Legacy Events, with modern options to streamline functionality.<br>• Transition Customizer settings to a dedicated Theme Options page to enhance usability.<br>• Update and migrate multiple WordPress sites, identifying and documenting necessary remediation steps for seamless upgrades.<br>• Troubleshoot and resolve compatibility issues with hosting environments and provide actionable solutions.<br>• Collaborate on code reviews and version control using GitHub to maintain development integrity.<br>• Document conflicts and solutions for site-specific issues, ensuring clarity and ease of future reference.<br>• Work closely with stakeholders to implement best practices for performance optimization and security.<br>• Assist in deploying sites using CI/CD pipelines for efficient WordPress development workflows.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in WordPress theme development and customization.<br>• Proficiency in JavaScript, PHP, and WordPress frameworks.<br>• Hands-on experience with GitHub for version control and collaborative development.<br>• Familiarity with hosting environments and deployment processes.<br>• Ability to troubleshoot complex compatibility issues across multiple sites.<br>• Strong skills in documentation and communication to support team collaboration.<br>• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques and security best practices.<br>• Experience in migrating legacy WordPress sites to modern standards.
