In this role, you will deliver robust, end-to-end solutions that power critical business functionality. Apply today!</p><p> </p><p><strong>Duration: </strong>3 months with potential to extend </p><p><strong>Schedule: </strong>Monday – Friday Core Business Hours </p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Onsite in Seattle preferred, remote ok. </p><p> </p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for the MDS project using Java and Spring Boot </li><li>Break down complex requirements into small, incremental deliverables to support rapid development and consistent sprint execution </li><li>Collaborate with backend, frontend, and EDO Operations teams to deliver seamless, end-to-end solutions </li><li>Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code aligned with best practices and coding standards </li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, including performance bottlenecks and system inefficiencies </li><li>Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives </li><li>Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of backend systems </li><li>Document technical designs, workflows, and system integrations </li></ul>

<ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field </li><li>8+ years of hands-on Java development experience </li><li>5+ years of experience with Spring Boot and Spring JPA </li><li>Strong expertise in RESTful API design and microservices architecture </li><li>Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL </li><li>Solid understanding of backend development best practices and system design principles </li><li>Proven ability to solve complex technical problems and work both independently and collaboratively </li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) </li><li>Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization tools such as Docker </li><li>Experience building distributed systems and implementing caching strategies </li><li>Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps practices </li><li>Knowledge of test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks</li></ul>
