We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Saxton's River, Vermont. This role is ideal for someone with a keen attention to detail and a strong background in accounting processes and financial management. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting month-end close activities.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accuracy in the general ledger.<br>• Conduct account reconciliations to ensure financial data integrity.<br>• Manage bank reconciliations and address discrepancies promptly.<br>• Oversee month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.<br>• Utilize Blackbaud Financial Edge for accounting tasks and data management.<br>• Generate financial reports and provide insights into key trends.<br>• Assist in maintaining compliance with financial regulations and standards.<br>• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes.<br>• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.<br>• Identify opportunities for process improvements within accounting workflows.

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior role.<br>• Proficiency in Blackbaud Financial Edge or similar accounting software.<br>• Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entries.<br>• Expertise in account reconciliations and bank reconciliation processes.<br>• Familiarity with month-end close procedures and reporting.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.<br>• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a contract role.<br>• Strong communication skills for collaboration across teams.
