We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team on a contract basis in Rockville, Maryland. In this role, you will lead accounting operations and oversee financial activities within the construction industry. This position offers an opportunity to manage critical financial processes and contribute to the success of our organization. Responsibilities:• Supervise all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger operations.• Manage financial aspects of construction projects, including job costing, subcontractor compliance, change orders, and accruals.• Prepare and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.• Ensure compliance with US GAAP standards and oversee the integrity of financial reporting.• Review and approve journal entries while maintaining organized and detailed financial records.• Lead month-end close processes and ensure timely reconciliations.• Develop and implement financial controls to safeguard company assets.• Support audits and ensure proper documentation for regulatory compliance.

• Proven expertise in general ledger management and accounting operations. • Strong background in financial statement preparation and reporting. • Solid understanding of month-end close procedures and reconciliation processes. • Comprehensive knowledge of construction accounting practices. • Familiarity with US GAAP standards and their application in financial reporting. • Ability to analyze financial data and provide strategic insights. • Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and detail. • Proficiency in accounting software and tools relevant to the construction industry.
