<p>Robert Half is seeking a highly skilled <strong>Systems Engineer</strong> for an upcoming client engagement in the Phoenix area. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, supporting, and optimizing enterprise infrastructure environments across on-premises and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Windows Server administration, virtualization technologies, cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and enterprise systems management.</p><p>This position requires a proactive technical professional who can collaborate with IT teams, business stakeholders, and leadership to ensure high availability, performance, and security across the organization&#39;s infrastructure.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Design, implement, and maintain enterprise server, storage, and infrastructure solutions.</li><li>Administer and support Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related services.</li><li>Manage virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V.</li><li>Support cloud infrastructure initiatives within Microsoft Azure and/or AWS environments.</li><li>Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity planning to ensure optimal operation.</li><li>Perform system upgrades, patch management, and infrastructure lifecycle management.</li><li>Develop and maintain disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity solutions.</li><li>Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, server, storage, network, and application issues.</li><li>Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement security best practices and maintain compliance requirements.</li><li>Configure and support identity and access management solutions, including Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).</li><li>Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.</li><li>Participate in infrastructure projects, migrations, cloud transformations, and system modernization initiatives.</li><li>Provide Tier III escalation support and technical leadership for infrastructure-related incidents.</li></ul><p><br></p>

<ul><li>Bachelor&#39;s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.</li><li>5+ years of experience in Systems Administration, Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or related roles.</li><li>Strong experience supporting Windows Server environments.</li><li>Expertise with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft server technologies.</li><li>Hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization platforms.</li><li>Experience managing Microsoft 365 and cloud infrastructure environments.</li><li>Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls.</li><li>Experience with enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions.</li><li>Proficiency with PowerShell scripting and automation.</li><li>Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.</li></ul><p>Preferred Qualifications</p><ul><li>Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure Virtual Desktop, or AWS.</li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft Intune and endpoint management solutions.</li><li>Experience with SAN, NAS, and enterprise storage technologies.</li><li>Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and infrastructure security best practices.</li><li>Exposure to Linux server administration.</li><li>Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments.</li><li>Relevant certifications such as:</li><li>Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate</li><li>Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert</li><li>VMware Certified Professional (VCP)</li><li>CompTIA Security+</li><li>Cisco CCNA</li></ul><p><br></p>
