.NET/C# FS Software Developer
We are looking for a versatile .NET/C# FS Software Developer to join a transport organization in Omaha, Nebraska on a contract basis with the potential for a permanent position. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys strengthening internal systems, creating dependable APIs, and improving web-based business tools in an on-premises environment. You will play a key role in shaping internally developed applications and supporting long-term modernization efforts that are important to daily operations.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Design, develop, and support internal APIs that power operational workflows, including integrations tied to purchase orders and inbound load information.<br>• Manage and enhance intranet pages to improve usability, reliability, and access to internal resources across the business.<br>• Maintain and expand internally used applications, delivering practical improvements that support day-to-day transportation operations.<br>• Contribute to the build-out and modernization of internal software platforms as the company expands its in-house development capabilities.<br>• Troubleshoot application issues, resolve defects, and implement sustainable fixes across backend and frontend components.<br>• Create full-stack solutions with a stronger emphasis on server-side development while still contributing to user-facing features when needed.<br>• Collaborate with business and operations stakeholders to translate evolving needs into effective technical solutions.<br>• Support application deployment and upkeep within an on-premises infrastructure and participate in technical improvements as the environment evolves.
• At least 1 year of software development experience using .NET and C# in business application environments.<br>• Hands-on experience with ASP.NET, including work on web applications and backend services.<br>• Strong working knowledge of JavaScript for building and maintaining interactive frontend functionality.<br>• Experience designing, developing, or maintaining APIs and integrated application components.<br>• Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, including writing queries and supporting data-driven applications.<br>• Ability to work comfortably in a full-stack role with primary focus on backend development.<br>• Adaptable, curious, and motivated approach to problem-solving in a fast-changing team environment.<br>• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, ProxMox, or transportation and logistics systems is a plus.
