Controller
<p>We are looking for a skilled Controller to join our team in North Charleston, South Carolina. This position is ideal for someone with extensive experience in construction accounting and financial management who demonstrates strong attention to detail. As a key contributor, you will oversee financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance while providing critical insights to support decision-making.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Manage month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations, to ensure timely and accurate reporting.</p><p>• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including annual statements, to provide insights into business performance.</p><p>• Oversee consolidation activities across multiple locations to maintain consistency in financial reporting.</p><p>• Conduct detailed analytics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.</p><p>• Collaborate with the regional controller to align financial practices with organizational goals.</p><p>• Ensure compliance with construction industry accounting standards and practices.</p><p>• Handle job costing processes to track project expenses and profitability.</p><p>• Monitor and report on key financial metrics relevant to the construction sector.</p><p>• Support leadership with financial data to drive strategic decisions and planning.</p><p><br></p><p>For more information please contact jerome.johnson@roberthalf com</p>
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial management or accounting roles.<br>• Expertise in construction accounting practices is required.<br>• Proficiency in month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.<br>• Strong knowledge of job costing and financial reporting.<br>• Familiarity with consolidation procedures across multi-location operations.<br>• Ability to perform data analytics to inform business strategies.<br>• Excellent organizational and communication skills.<br>• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
