Cloud Security Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to join our team in Neptune, New Jersey. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in implementing and maintaining advanced monitoring and security solutions that ensure the reliability and performance of hybrid IT environments. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the optimization of critical healthcare systems.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Design, configure, and implement SolarWinds monitoring solutions to assess network performance, security, and availability.<br>• Install, customize, and maintain various SolarWinds Orion platform modules, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.<br>• Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks, including applying patches and software updates, to ensure high availability of monitoring systems.<br>• Develop and customize web-based reports for both scheduled and ad-hoc purposes to support application and service-oriented groups.<br>• Create and manage intelligent alerting mechanisms across hybrid environments to enhance system observability.<br>• Automate system remediation processes using SolarWinds Alerts Actions to minimize manual interventions and improve response times.<br>• Build and maintain custom dashboards and maps tailored for operational and management teams.<br>• Collaborate with operations and infrastructure teams to enhance monitoring and automation capabilities.<br>• Analyze system performance trends and log data to proactively identify areas for optimization and preventive maintenance.<br>• Ensure system monitoring solutions comply with healthcare security and regulatory standards.
• Proven expertise in cybersecurity, including hands-on experience with SolarWinds solutions.<br>• Familiarity with firewall technologies such as Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, and configuration management tools.<br>• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Perl for automation and customization.<br>• Solid understanding of observability concepts across servers, networks, storage, cloud services, and containers.<br>• Experience with integrating monitoring solutions with platforms like Azure, VMware, and Hyper-V.<br>• Knowledge of IT service management tools, such as ServiceNow, for incident response and resolution.<br>• Ability to design self-healing automation processes for common IT incidents.<br>• Strong analytical skills to evaluate system performance and identify areas for improvement.
