<p>We’re partnering with a growing technology team that is kicking off a major mobile modernization initiative in June and is looking to add a Senior Android Mobile Developer to the project team.</p><p>This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building modern mobile applications, mentoring other developers, and helping shape technical direction within a collaborative engineering environment. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to modernize a native Android application while contributing across backend services, frontend mobile interfaces, and integrations with internal systems.</p><p>What You’ll Be Doing</p><ul><li>Design, develop, and modernize a native Android mobile application</li><li>Collaborate with product owners, developers, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable technical solutions</li><li>Support modernization efforts from legacy Java-based Android applications to Kotlin</li><li>Build and maintain REST APIs and integrations with internal systems</li><li>Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to long-term technical strategy</li><li>Perform code reviews and provide mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers</li><li>Promote best practices, innovation, and continuous improvement within the development team</li><li>Evaluate and test new tools, frameworks, and approaches to improve delivery and application performance</li><li>Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders and take ownership of business outcomes</li></ul><p><br></p>

<p>Required Experience</p><ul><li>Strong experience with Android mobile application development</li><li>Hands-on experience with:</li><li>Java</li><li>Kotlin</li><li>Maven</li><li>Gradle</li><li>Experience upgrading legacy native Android applications from Java to Kotlin</li><li>Experience working with Android SDKs and APIs</li><li>Strong understanding of REST APIs and authentication protocols</li><li>Experience with testing tools such as JUnit and JMeter</li><li>Backend development experience supporting mobile applications</li><li>Ability to mentor engineers and contribute within a collaborative Agile environment</li></ul><p>Preferred Background</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred</li><li>Equivalent experience (10+ years) will also be considered</li></ul><p>Additional Details</p><ul><li>100% Remote</li><li>Must be able to work Eastern Time Zone business hours</li><li>Long-term project initiative beginning in June</li><li>Opportunity to help shape architecture, modernization strategy, and engineering best practices</li></ul><p><br></p>
