We are looking for a highly skilled Security Network Engineer to oversee and enhance event management processes within our organization. This long-term contract position involves implementing and maintaining event monitoring systems, developing automated workflows, and ensuring seamless incident response. Located in Miami Lakes, Florida, this role offers the opportunity to collaborate with diverse teams and play a crucial part in optimizing event governance and security. Responsibilities: • Manage the complete lifecycle of event management processes using ServiceNow, ensuring efficient intake and response to operational alerts. • Configure and integrate monitoring tools such as New Relic, DataDog, and UiPath with ServiceNow to streamline alert processing. • Develop classification rules and severity tags to translate events into actionable incidents. • Create and maintain documentation for processes, workflows, and operational standards, including runbooks and procedural guidelines. • Collaborate with technical teams and business units to gather system details and validate service mapping models. • Define and implement alerting strategies, dashboards, and automation for high-priority events to improve response times. • Facilitate training sessions and workshops to enhance team understanding of incident response workflows and escalation procedures. • Monitor and report on event trends, incident performance, and adherence to response expectations, ensuring SLA compliance. • Lead response efforts during major incidents, coordinating technical teams and providing timely updates to stakeholders. • Establish governance criteria for event handling, escalation paths, and response quality across the organization.

• Proficiency in Palo Alto Firewall and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) for secure network management. • Strong expertise in network security principles and practices. • Experience with ServiceNow application and modules to manage event workflows effectively. • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as DataDog and New Relic for event tracking and analysis. • Ability to develop automation strategies for paging, notifications, and vendor engagement. • Adept at creating detailed documentation, including workflows and procedural guides. • Strong collaboration skills to work with diverse technical and business teams. • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail for managing complex incidents and alerts.
