We are looking for a Business Insights Analyst to join our Financial Services team in McAllen, Texas. In this role, you will connect banking operations with data-driven decision-making by turning complex business questions into practical analysis, reporting, and performance insights. You will work closely with partners across the bank to uncover trends, measure results, and recommend actions that strengthen growth, efficiency, profitability, and risk awareness.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Partner with stakeholders across lending, deposits, branch operations, treasury management, finance, marketing, risk, and related functions to define analytical needs and translate them into actionable deliverables.<br>• Apply banking knowledge to interpret customer relationships, product usage, portfolio activity, balances, pricing, fees, and transaction behavior in support of strategic and operational decisions.<br>• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, performance metrics, and analytical models that provide timely visibility into key business outcomes.<br>• Convert business questions into clear rules, calculations, definitions, and expected results for data analysts, engineers, and other technical collaborators.<br>• Evaluate data to identify trends, anomalies, emerging risks, and growth opportunities, then explain the business impact in straightforward language.<br>• Recommend actions that improve customer retention, relationship expansion, pricing strategy, profitability, operating efficiency, and risk management.<br>• Validate assumptions, data definitions, and analytical findings with business and technical teams before insights are used to guide decisions.<br>• Identify data quality concerns, document limitations and methodologies, and work with appropriate partners to improve the reliability and usability of information.<br>• Support the design and use of data pipelines and reporting solutions by providing banking context to IT and data engineering teams.<br>• Maintain compliance with applicable banking regulations, internal controls, audit expectations, and procedures, including awareness of suspicious or unusual activity reporting requirements.
