Robert Half is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager for our partner in the Madison area. This role will lead a team responsible for enterprise infrastructure, systems, networking, and security operations. This role combines people leadership with technical oversight, making it a strong fit for someone who enjoys developing technical teams, improving operational processes, and helping drive infrastructure strategy. Reporting to the Director of IT Infrastructure, this individual will oversee day-to-day operations, support key technology initiatives, and serve as a senior escalation point for complex infrastructure and security-related issues. While remaining technically engaged, the primary focus of the position is leadership, team development, operational excellence, and execution. Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Operations<ul><li>Lead, coach, and develop a team supporting network, systems, and security operations</li><li>Manage hiring, employee development, performance management, and workload planning</li><li>Establish priorities, balance operational support with project work, and ensure successful delivery of team objectives</li><li>Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing</li></ul>Infrastructure & Technical Oversight<ul><li>Provide technical leadership across enterprise infrastructure, networking, systems administration, and security operations</li><li>Act as the senior escalation point for complex incidents and critical production issues</li><li>Guide architectural decisions and infrastructure improvements</li><li>Promote automation, standardization, and best practices throughout the environment</li></ul>Security & Compliance<ul><li>Partner with the team to maintain a secure and reliable infrastructure environment</li><li>Support security operations, incident response, business continuity, and disaster recovery planning</li><li>Contribute to regulatory and compliance initiatives, including HIPAA, SOC 2, and NIST-aligned practices</li></ul> Project & Vendor Management<ul><li>Lead infrastructure projects from planning through implementation</li><li>Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and communicate progress</li><li>Manage relationships with key technology vendors and service providers</li><li>Assist with budgeting, procurement, and strategic technology planning</li></ul>Process Improvement & Automation<ul><li>Drive operational efficiency through automation and infrastructure modernization</li><li>Support the use of scripting, infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps practices where appropriate</li><li>Ensure documentation, monitoring, change management, and operational standards remain current and effective</li></ul>
