We are looking for a dedicated Controller to join our client's team in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the VP of Finance to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with corporate policies, and provide expert financial guidance to support organizational goals. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis, particularly within the construction or homebuilding industry. Responsibilities:• Collaborate with the VP of Finance to provide financial expertise to both operational and corporate teams.• Oversee accounting operations, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, and general ledger management.• Ensure financial statements, forecasts, and budgets are accurately prepared and submitted in a timely manner.• Manage and motivate financial and administrative staff, fostering attention to detail and ongoing growth and development.• Review and approve contracts, closing documents, and transactions for customers and land purchases.• Monitor compliance with corporate financial policies and procedures.• Assist in resolving issues related to financial systems and processes.• Analyze and report financial data to support decision-making across departments.• Ensure all required operational and corporate reports are completed accurately and on schedule.• Provide financial support to various functional areas as necessary.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or MBA preferred.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.• 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.• Expertise in construction or cost accounting, preferably within the homebuilding or land development sectors.• Proficiency in finance and accounting systems, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills.• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop accounting and finance personnel.• Strong business acumen with a focus on results and customer service.
