Assistant Controller
<p>We’re partnering with a growing manufacturing organization seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Assistant Controller to help lead accounting operations across multiple business units. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys owning the numbers, and wants visibility across an entire portfolio of companies. The Assistant Controller will play a key role in maintaining accurate financials, strengthening processes, and supporting leadership with timely, actionable insights.</p><p><br></p><p>What You’ll Do as an Assistant Controller:</p><ul><li>Own and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process across multiple entities</li><li>Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance</li><li>Prepare and review financial statements for multiple companies</li><li>Oversee intercompany transactions, eliminations, and reconciliations</li><li>Drive balance sheet integrity through detailed account reconciliations and analysis</li><li>Support consolidations and multi-entity reporting</li><li>Partner closely with operations to understand plant-level performance and cost drivers</li><li>Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis</li><li>Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies</li><li>Coordinate with external auditors and support audit requests</li><li>Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and scalability</li><li>Mentor and support junior accounting staff as needed</li></ul><p>For immediate consideration call Jimmy Tunney at 517-657-8054.</p>
<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred)</li><li>3+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience highly preferred)</li><li>Experience working with multiple entities or business units</li><li>Strong understanding of cost accounting principles (standard costing, inventory, etc.)</li><li>Proven ability to manage month-end close in a deadline-driven environment</li></ul>
