This contract-to-permanent position is ideal for someone who can manage insurance billing activity, resolve claim issues efficiently, and maintain a strong focus on reimbursement accuracy and patient service. The role requires close attention to account follow-up, timely claims processing, and effective communication with insurance representatives and patients when needed.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Monitor aged accounts and take action on patient balances beginning at 60 days from the date of service, using accounts receivable reports to drive timely follow-up.<br>• Submit primary and secondary insurance claims through electronic billing systems on a daily basis to support prompt payment.<br>• Examine claims for accuracy and completeness, making corrections as needed before resubmission.<br>• Investigate and resolve rejected, returned, denied, or partially paid claims within five business days to reduce delays in reimbursement.<br>• Prepare and send rebilled claims and route them to the correct insurance carrier based on coverage details.<br>• Draft and submit appeals for claim denials, ensuring supporting documentation and written communication are clear and thorough.<br>• Research payer-related issues, including eligibility concerns, network limitations, workers' compensation matters, and other claim processing obstacles.<br>• Communicate with insurance carriers and third-party representatives to move claims toward resolution and reconcile outstanding account activity.<br>• Track unresolved or suspended claims, provide status updates, and report weekly productivity results to leadership.

  • <p>The Senior Director of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting Policy will serve as a senior leader within the accounting organization, responsible for overseeing the Company’s SEC reporting process, technical accounting policy framework, and related governance and documentation. This role will report to the Controller and will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Accounting Officer, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Investor Relations, Portfolio Management, Operations, external auditors, and other key stakeholders. While offering a hybrid schedule, prospective candidates must be willing to work in Richmond, VA.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p><p>Lead all aspects of SEC reporting, technical accounting, and accounting policy governance for a publicly traded entity. Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, reporting requirements, and public company disclosure standards.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Lead preparation and filing of SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, earnings releases, XBRL filings, and related disclosures.</li><li>Oversee financial statement preparation, footnotes, MD& A support, non-GAAP reporting, and disclosure controls.</li><li>Research, document, and implement technical accounting guidance for complex transactions, new accounting standards, and SEC requirements.</li><li>Maintain and govern the Company's accounting policy framework, technical accounting memos, and reporting documentation.</li><li>Provide accounting and reporting expertise related to compliance, taxable income, dividend distributions, income tax matters, and related disclosures.</li><li>Advise on accounting for securities, investments, derivatives, hedging activities, financing arrangements, fair value measurements, and capital markets transactions.</li><li>Support accounting and disclosure requirements for stock-based compensation programs and proxy statement reporting.</li><li>Serve as primary liaison with external auditors on SEC reporting, technical accounting matters, audits, and regulatory compliance.</li><li>Partner with Legal, Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations, Portfolio Management, HR, and Executive Leadership to support reporting and strategic initiatives.</li><li>Oversee SOX controls and reporting processes while driving continuous improvement, automation, and scalability.</li><li>Prepare materials and support discussions for the Audit Committee, Disclosure Committee, and senior management.</li><li>Lead, mentor, and develop SEC reporting and technical accounting team members.</li></ul><p>Leadership & Culture</p><ul><li>Serve as a trusted advisor to the Controller, CFO, and senior leadership team.</li><li>Operate within the Company's EOS/Traction framework, establishing measurable goals and driving accountability.</li><li>Foster a collaborative, low-ego, high-performance culture focused on integrity, transparency, continuous improvement, and cross-functional partnership.</li><li>Translate complex accounting and regulatory requirements into practical business guidance.</li></ul><p><br></p>
