<p>We are seeking a hands-on Controller to lead day-to-day accounting operations for a growing business in New York. This role is well suited for a detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a smaller-company environment, oversees a lean team, and partners closely with leadership on key financial priorities. The Controller will manage core accounting functions, support operational decision-making, and help guide financial processes within a manufacturing-oriented organization undergoing business evolution.</p>

<ul><li>7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility in a Controller or senior accounting role</li><li>Strong hands-on experience with month-end close, general ledger activity, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations</li><li>Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred</li><li>Working knowledge of sales tax compliance, including New York sales tax filings and order-level tax calculation processes</li><li>Familiarity with payroll administration for both hourly and salaried employees; Paychex experience is a plus</li><li>Experience calculating commissions and accurately integrating those payments into payroll</li><li>Ability to manage and mentor a small team while remaining highly involved in daily accounting operations</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with business owners or senior leadership in a small-company setting</li><li>High attention to detail, sound judgment, and strong organizational skills</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred</li></ul><p><br></p>
