Web Developer
<p>We're seeking a versatile Web Developer to lead a full website redesign and support ongoing digital initiatives. This role combines visual design, front-end development, and CMS management, with additional responsibilities supporting intranet portals and ongoing site maintenance.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Website & Front-End Design</strong></p><ul><li>Lead redesign of the organization’s public website with a modern, responsive, accessible UI.</li><li>Create templates, themes, and UI components within a CMS (Cascade CMS preferred but not required).</li><li>Produce wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and final design assets.</li></ul><p><strong>CMS Development & Administration</strong></p><ul><li>Maintain and update site structure, navigation, and content.</li><li>Build and manage templates, components, and branding standards across digital properties.</li><li>Support discussions around CMS modernization or migration.</li></ul><p><strong>Intranet / SharePoint Support</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and enhance internal portals using SharePoint or similar platforms.</li><li>Build custom pages, components, and basic workflows.</li></ul><p><strong>Ongoing Operations</strong></p><ul><li>Maintain directories and other administrative web components.</li><li>Collaborate with marketing, IT, and internal teams to gather requirements and deliver user-friendly solutions.</li><li>Ensure accessibility (WCAG), performance optimization, and security best practices.</li><li>Provide troubleshooting and continuous enhancements.</li></ul><p><br></p>
<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.</li><li>3+ years of experience in web design and front-end development.</li><li>Hands-on experience building templates/themes in a CMS (Cascade CMS, WordPress, Drupal, etc.).</li><li>Experience with SharePoint (modern pages, templates, intranet components)</li></ul><p>Strong skills in:</p><ul><li>HTML5, CSS3/SASS, JavaScript</li><li>Responsive frameworks (Bootstrap, Tailwind, etc.)</li><li>Accessibility, UX/UI best practices</li><li>Familiarity with Git and general web performance/security fundamentals.</li><li>Strong communication and requirements-gathering abilities.</li><li>Portfolio demonstrating web designs, CMS builds, and front-end work.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Experience specifically with Cascade CMS.</li><li>Familiarity with higher-ed or enterprise websites.</li><li>Basic knowledge of PHP, .NET, or other backend languages (nice to have).</li><li>Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud or Figma.</li></ul><p><br></p>
