Our client, a growing manufacturing organization in North Georgia, is looking for an HR & Safety Administrative Assistant to play a hands-on role supporting both employee needs and plant safety across multiple locations.</p><p><br></p><p>This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is proactive, independent, organized, and comfortable taking ownership. You’ll work closely with plant leadership, supervisors, and employees to identify safety opportunities, coordinate training, maintain compliance records, and provide support with HR-related activities.</p><p><br></p><p>What You'll Do:</p><p><br></p><p>Safety & Compliance</p><ul><li>Walk the manufacturing floor regularly to identify safety concerns and opportunities for improvement.</li><li>Partner with Plant Managers and leadership to address safety issues and track corrective actions through completion.</li><li>Conduct monthly checks of first aid cabinets, safety binders, panels, and other safety-related resources.</li><li>Coordinate and administer safety training, including forklift and other required certifications.</li><li>Track employee certifications and proactively communicate upcoming expiration dates to supervisors.</li><li>Coordinate plant-wide training initiatives, including dock safety and other specialized programs.</li><li>Maintain accurate training and certification records </li></ul><p>HR Support:</p><ul><li>Assist with employee orientation and onboarding activities.</li><li>Provide occasional English/Spanish interpretation for employees, supervisors, and plant leadership.</li><li>Translate HR documents and other employee communications as needed.</li><li>Partner with the HR team and plant leadership on various employee-related initiatives.</li></ul><p>The ideal candidate will have:</p><ul><li>Bilingual English/Spanish skills — required, including the ability to communicate and translate effectively in both languages.</li><li>Experience in HR, safety, manufacturing, compliance, or a related administrative role.</li><li>A strong sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize competing needs.</li><li>A proactive mindset with the initiative to identify problems and opportunities for improvement.</li><li>Excellent organization and follow-through, particularly when tracking issues, training, certifications, and deadlines.</li><li>The ability to build positive working relationships with plant managers, supervisors, and employees.</li><li>Comfort working on the manufacturing floor and interacting with employees at all levels.</li></ul><p>Why This Opportunity?</p><p>This is more than a traditional administrative position. <p>We are looking for a bilingual Human Resources Generalist to support overnight HR operations at our facility in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working fully onsite and can assist employees and supervisors with day-to-day HR matters in both English and Spanish. The position focuses on workforce support, attendance and payroll-related coordination, and responsive employee relations service in a fast-paced environment.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Provide overnight HR support to employees and leaders, responding to workplace questions and concerns in English and Spanish.</p><p>• Review, track, and help resolve timesheet discrepancies to support accurate payroll processing.</p><p>• Assist with employee relations matters by gathering information, documenting issues, and helping coordinate timely follow-up.</p><p>• Support onboarding activities for new team members, including paperwork completion, orientation assistance, and policy communication.</p><p>• Maintain HR records and update employee information within HRIS platforms with a high level of accuracy.</p><p>• Help administer routine HR processes related to benefits, attendance, and general personnel administration.</p><p>• Partner with supervisors to address workforce issues during third shift and promote consistent application of company policies.</p>
