<p>Tammy Power, Recruiting Manager with Robert Half is looking for a skilled Controller to join our team in Kern County, California. In this role, you will manage and oversee financial operations, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in all accounting processes. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in regulated industries, preferably healthcare, and demonstrate strong leadership capabilities to support strategic planning and organizational goals.</p><p><br></p><p>For Immediate consideration, reach out to Tammy Power via LinkedIn.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Supervise all financial accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems while ensuring adherence to industry regulations and organizational policies.</p><p>• Direct the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.</p><p>• Lead the annual budgeting process and manage ongoing financial forecasting to support strategic initiatives.</p><p>• Develop and enforce internal controls to mitigate financial risks and enhance operational efficiency.</p><p>• Oversee tax filings and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, collaborating with external partners as needed.</p><p>• Manage relationships with auditors and ensure the timely completion of audit processes.</p><p>• Optimize accounting systems and streamline financial processes to improve workflow and reporting accuracy.</p><p>• Provide financial insights and variance analysis to executive leadership to support decision-making.</p><p>• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, encouraging attention to detail and maintaining high performance standards.</p><p>• Ensure alignment of financial operations with healthcare performance metrics and reimbursement requirements.</p>
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.<br>• At least 7 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management.<br>• Proficiency in maintaining internal controls and managing financial reporting processes.<br>• Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights.<br>• Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries preferred.<br>• Excellent communication and leadership abilities to manage teams and collaborate across departments.<br>• Familiarity with tax filings, audits, and compliance requirements.<br>• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and accountability in all aspects of financial management.
