Python Engineer
<p><strong>Robert Half</strong> is actively partnering with an Austin-based client to hire a <strong>Python Engineer. </strong>In this position, you'll serve as an automation expert to design and build systems that power critical workflows across the company. You will be responsible for writing and testing code, developing and implementing solutions, designing applications, and partnering with teams to refine features. <strong>This position is onsite in Austin, TX four (4) days per week.</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Support requirements gathering process with stakeholders and end-users</li><li>Write high-quality, scalable code using Python</li><li>Write CI/CD and IAC code to create resources needed for testing, development, and deployment of automation</li><li>Participate and lead stand-ups and sprints</li><li>Partner with development team and quality assurance to ensure high-impact delivery, including linting, unit tests, and security controls</li></ul><p><br></p>
<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field</li><li>7+ years of professional coding experience with expert proficiency in Python for building automated systems</li><li>In-depth knowledge of Python frameworks, tools, and systems (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, PyTorch, etc.)</li><li>Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration (Temporal, Kestra, Hatchet, etc.)</li><li>Experience with IaC and configuration management tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)</li><li>Practical experience running production workloads on AWS (EC2 and EKS)</li><li>Proficiency with front-end development technologies, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript</li><li>Knowledge of Pydantic for data visualization</li><li>Knowledge of open-source containerization tools (Kubernetes)</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Contract Benefit Offerings:</strong></p><ul><li>Healthcare (medical, dental, and vision plans)</li><li>401(k) and retirement plans</li><li>Commuter benefits</li><li>Employee and vendor discounts</li><li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP)</li><li>And many more!</li></ul>
