<p><strong>Robert Half</strong> is actively partnering with an Austin-based client to hire a <strong>DevOps Engineer (contract-to-hire). </strong>As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing software delivery and infrastructure management processes. You'll partner with team members to automate deployment pipelines, optimize system performance, and ensure the reliability of software applications. <strong>This position is onsite in Austin, TX (3) days per week.</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Partner with development and operations teams to streamline and automate software deployment and infrastructure management</li><li>Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to deliver reliable, efficient software releases</li><li>Design and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for cloud and on-prem environments, automating provisioning, configuration, and scaling</li><li>Monitor system performance, troubleshoot proactively, and ensure high availability and optimal responsiveness</li><li>Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools for configuration management, monitoring, and system maintenance</li><li>Implement and enforce security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability assessments</li><li>Collaborate with developers to design scalable, high-performance solutions that support stability and growth</li><li>Manage and optimize AWS cloud resources and services for cost efficiency and performance</li><li>Perform system backups, disaster recovery planning, and maintain data integrity and availability</li></ul>

<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field</li><li>5+ years in a DevOps role, with proven success implementing DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines at scale, ideally in a fast-growing environment</li><li>Strong expertise in automation tools and scripting (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Python)</li><li>Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes)</li><li>Proficiency in version control systems (Git) and solid understanding of branching and merging strategies</li><li>Experience with monitoring and log management tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack) for performance and error tracking</li><li>Familiarity with database management (SQL and NoSQL)</li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working across teams</li></ul><p><strong>Contract Benefit Offerings:</strong></p><ul><li>Healthcare (medical, dental, and vision plans)</li><li>401(k) and retirement plans</li><li>Commuter benefits</li><li>Employee and vendor discounts</li><li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP)</li><li>And many more!</li></ul>
