We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Manager to oversee essential financial operations for a nonprofit organization in Albany, New York. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage accounting functions, ensure compliance, and provide valuable financial insights to support organizational goals. Responsibilities Include:• Oversee day-to-day accounting processes, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger management, and payroll operations.• Lead month-end closings and ensure timely preparation of accurate financial statements.• Manage grant and fund accounting, ensuring proper tracking and reporting of restricted revenue.• Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and compliance standards.• Coordinate audit preparation and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors.• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to organizational leadership.• Support the budgeting process and monitor financial performance against projections.• Identify opportunities to optimize accounting systems and processes for improved efficiency. Salary Range and Benefits: $70,000 - $80,000 base salary, with a generous benefits package including time off, hybrid flexibility, insurance, retirement plans, and more!

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Minimum of three years of accounting experience, preferably within a nonprofit organization, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. • Strong understanding of fund accounting principles and grant reporting requirements. • Proficiency in nonprofit accounting software and tools. • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills. • Demonstrated experience with financial statement audits and compliance. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
