Social Media Specialist Job Description

Social media specialists identify, evaluate, select and monitor the most relevant social media channels for an organization. They also create and maintain up-to-date social media plans, and moderate and oversee an organization’s presence on social media. Excellent knowledge of social media platforms and best practices is a must for this position. Strong verbal and writing skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once are also essential to success. Web design and publishing skills along with an understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) are also valued by many employers.
