<p><strong>Robert Half are pleased to be working with a long-established, forward-moving organisation based in Wisbech, North Cambridgeshire, to recruit a Senior Finance Manager.</strong></p><p> </p><p>This position is a central leadership role within the finance team and offers a clear pathway towards Finance Director level as the business continues to grow and modernise its operations.</p><p> </p><p>The successful applicant will be instrumental in enhancing financial processes, refining reporting systems, and helping the organisation strengthen its financial insight and efficiency. A standout benefit of this position is a 4-day working week (Monday-Thursday) while receiving a full-time salary.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Main Responsibilities</strong></p><p> </p><ul><li>Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate consolidation of international entities and insightful variance analysis</li><li>Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, oversee balance sheet reconciliations, and supervise all sales and purchase invoicing activity</li><li>Line-manage, support, and develop a team of five finance professionals</li><li>Take charge of VAT submissions, statutory filings, and all required returns to government bodies</li><li>Serve as the key liaison for external auditors</li><li>Monitor daily cashflow and prepare forward-looking cash forecasts</li><li>Manage loan stock drawdowns and stay on top of all funding positions</li><li>Review stock movement data and payment activity across different stock categories</li><li>Produce meaningful expenditure analysis and commentary to assist leadership decision-making</li><li>Ensure all funding covenants and reporting commitments are consistently met</li><li>Oversee payroll for all staff</li><li>Build and maintain strong supplier and customer relationships, including occasional overseas travel when necessary</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Skills &amp; Experience</strong></p><p> </p><ul><li>Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)</li><li>Experienced in leading and developing a finance team</li><li>Strong grounding in technical accounting and an analytical mindset</li><li>Confident communicator with excellent presentation skills</li><li>Comfortable working within a dynamic environment and managing competing priorities</li></ul><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
