This role will suit a hands-on finance professional with strong technical accounting and group reporting experience.</p><h3 data-end="709" data-start="685">Key Responsibilities</h3><ul data-start="710" data-end="1679"><li data-end="838" data-start="710"><p data-start="712" data-end="838">Lead the month-end close process, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets</p></li><li data-start="839" data-end="936"><p data-end="936" data-start="841">Prepare group consolidations and support the production of board packs and statutory accounts</p></li><li data-start="937" data-end="1020"><p data-end="1020" data-start="939">Manage intercompany accounting and support the integration of overseas entities</p></li><li data-end="1110" data-start="1021"><p data-end="1110" data-start="1023">Oversee payroll accounting and reconciliations across UK and international operations</p></li><li data-start="1111" data-end="1211"><p data-end="1211" data-start="1113">Prepare and submit VAT returns, liaising with external advisors on EU VAT matters where required</p></li><li data-start="1212" data-end="1306"><p data-end="1306" data-start="1214">Support the year-end audit process and act as a key point of contact for external auditors</p></li><li data-end="1445" data-start="1307"><p data-start="1309" data-end="1445">Assist with acquisition accounting, including purchase price allocations, opening balance sheets, and integration into group reporting</p></li><li data-start="1446" data-end="1506"><p data-end="1506" data-start="1448">Manage and maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast</p></li><li data-start="1507" data-end="1592"><p data-end="1592" data-start="1509">Drive continuous improvement across financial processes, controls, and automation</p></li><li data-start="1593" data-end="1679"><p data-end="1679" data-start="1595">Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and prepare technical accounting memos as needed</p></li></ul><h3 data-start="1681" data-end="1702">Candidate Profile</h3><ul data-end="2053" data-start="1703"><li data-start="1703" data-end="1761"><p data-end="1761" data-start="1705">Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)</p></li><li data-end="1845" data-start="1762"><p data-start="1764" data-end="1845">Strong experience in month-end close, group reporting, and statutory accounting</p></li><li data-end="1914" data-start="1846"><p data-end="1914" data-start="1848">Previous exposure to multi-entity and international environments</p></li><li data-start="1915" data-end="1983"><p data-start="1917" data-end="1983">Confident working in interim roles and able to add value quickly</p></li><li data-start="1984" data-end="2053"><p data-end="2053" data-start="1986">Strong attention to detail with a proactive and hands-on approach</p></li></ul><p data-end="2210" data-start="2055">This is an excellent interim opportunity for a capable finance professional looking to make an immediate impact, with potential for longer-term engagement.</p><p data-is-last-node="" data-end="2266" data-is-only-node="" data-start="2212">For more information or to apply, please get in touch.</p><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
