<p>Robert Half Technology are assisting a market leading financial services organisation to recruit a AWS Data Architect on a contract basis - Hybrid working - London based </p><p> </p><p><strong>Role</strong></p><ul><li>The AWS Data Architect will design and architect end-to-end data solutions on AWS, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.</li><li>Lead the development of frameworks, standards, and best practices for data engineering and architecture.</li><li>Collaborate with engineers, SMEs, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.</li><li>Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to development teams.</li><li>Ensure adherence to SDLC, deployment, and change management processes.</li><li>Partner with solution architects and developers to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions.</li></ul><p><strong>Profile</strong></p><ul><li>The AWS Data Architect will have strong Python development skills (must be able to design and write clean, maintainable, and testable code).</li><li><p data-start="1589" style="display: inline !important;" data-end="1640">Extensive AWS expertise, particularly across:</p></li></ul><ol><li>Lambda</li><li>Glue</li><li>Glue Data Catalog</li><li>EMR services</li><li>API Gateway</li></ol><ul><li>Relational database experience with Aurora Postgres (including query performance tuning).</li><li>Spark experience, including pipelines using Spark on data stored in iceberg table format in S3 and federated through Aurora Postgres.</li><li>Proven experience with data modeling, medallion/lakehouse architectures, and financial domain familiarity.</li><li>Ability to solve problems independently and deliver frameworks/solutions with minimal guidance.</li></ul><p><strong>Company</strong></p><ul><li>Market leading financial services organisation with offices in London</li><li>Hybrid working - London based </li><li>15 month long contract </li></ul><p><strong>Salary &amp; Benefits</strong></p><p>The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.</p><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
