<p>We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team on a 3-month contract basis in Vancouver, British Columbia. This position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and extensive experience in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and compliance. As part of the healthcare industry, you will contribute to maintaining accurate financial records and optimizing processes to support organizational goals.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Provide mentorship and guidance to entry-level accounting staff during month-end close processes.</p><p>• Prepare comprehensive financial statements and month-end reporting packages for multiple profit and loss statements.</p><p>• Analyze financial performance and trends to deliver actionable insights to internal stakeholders.</p><p>• Draft complex journal entries, perform detailed account reconciliations, and review work completed by entry-level team members.</p><p>• Conduct advanced calculations and evaluations for intricate financial transactions.</p><p>• Oversee integration activities for general ledger systems and other financial operations following acquisitions.</p><p>• Ensure compliance with provincial and federal sales tax regulations across various jurisdictions.</p><p>• Assess and enhance existing processes, procedures, and internal controls to improve efficiency and accuracy.</p>

<p>• Proficiency in account reconciliation, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations.</p><p>• Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entry creation.</p><p>• Expertise in month-end close procedures and financial reporting.</p><p>• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.</p><p>• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM for financial operations.</p><p>• Solid understanding of provincial and federal sales tax compliance.</p><p>• Ability to perform detailed performance and trend analysis.</p><p>• Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage diverse financial tasks.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p> If you are an experienced accounting and financial professional, please apply to Robert Half Management Resources today.
