We are looking for a detail-oriented Intermediate Accountant to join our team in Kitchener, Ontario, on a contract basis. This role involves managing a variety of accounting tasks in a dynamic, high-volume environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the Assistant Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting and smooth operations. Responsibilities: • Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, including reviewing discounts and reconciling outstanding balances. • Utilize multiple accounting software systems, including NetSuite, and ensure proper balancing between systems. • Investigate and resolve errors in financial transactions and systems. • Apply strong knowledge of accounting principles, including debits and credits, to daily tasks. • Collaborate with the Assistant Controller to support various accounting functions. • Handle a high volume of transactions efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. • Create and analyze reports using intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting roles. • Proficiency with accounting software, particularly NetSuite; experience with Sage or QuickBooks is an asset. • Strong understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes. • Intermediate-level Excel skills, including the ability to use pivot tables and VLOOKUP. • Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership over assigned tasks. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. • Knowledge of the hospitality industry is an asset.
