- <p>We are supporting a Canadian-based not-for-profit healthcare organization in their search for a Compliance & Privacy Officer in their Vancouver office. This is a 1 year contract role with potential to extend.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>About The Role:</strong></p><p><br></p><p>The Compliance & Privacy Officer is responsible for ensuring that the business' practices related to organizational compliance and quality meet legislative, regulatory and contractual requirements, international standards and best practices.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Develop, maintain and monitor a quality program to improve general organizational compliance and quality.</li><li>Support with contracts and agreements inclusive of advising on contractual requirements, drafting, reviewing and updating templates.</li><li>Monitor compliance with Imagine Canada's Standards Program, writing and submitting reports in order to maintain accreditation.</li><li>Maintain a privacy management program that is accountable and abides by Canadian federal, provincial and territorial legislation and regulations, international standards and best practices.</li><li>Monitor privacy compliance, assessing effectiveness and revising program controls as necessary.</li><li>Coordinate and follow up on external PIAs, audits and inspections.</li><li>Manage privacy breaches, inquiries and complaints.</li></ul>

- <p>Our client is seeking a Customs & Trade Compliance Specialist to support cross-border import and export operations across the U.S. and Canada. This is an excellent opportunity for a trade compliance professional who enjoys navigating complex regulations, partnering across functions, and improving the efficiency and compliance of international trade processes.</p><p><br></p><p>As a key member of the Finance and Administration team, you will help ensure customs compliance while supporting business goals, operational performance, and cost-saving initiatives. You’ll work closely with customs authorities, brokers, freight forwarders, vendors, and internal stakeholders to keep goods moving compliantly and efficiently.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What You Will Do</strong></p><ul><li>Manage import compliance activities across the U.S. and Canada</li><li>Monitor trade regulations, tariffs, sanctions, and free trade agreements to ensure ongoing compliance</li><li>Support customs audits, inquiries, disclosures, and reconciliations</li><li>Partner with internal teams and external providers, including brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies, to resolve compliance matters</li><li>Provide guidance on customs valuation, product classification, and import/export requirements</li><li>Ensure compliance with key trade programs and regulations, including USMCA/CUSMA, Section 301, Section 232, and SIMA</li><li>Maintain and improve trade compliance procedures, documentation, and internal controls</li><li>Manage Certificates of Origin, classification data, duty rates, and related records in the ERP system</li><li>Support shipping and logistics teams with customs documentation, transportation compliance, and export requirements</li><li>Identify cost-saving opportunities through duty recovery, deferral, foreign trade zones, and free trade programs</li><li>Use ACE and CARM to monitor activity, generate reports, and track compliance performance</li><li>Review broker and freight forwarder performance and support continuous improvement</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p>
