Payroll Administrator
We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This Contract position offers the opportunity to manage essential payroll processes, ensure accurate employee compensation, and contribute to maintaining compliance with Canadian payroll regulations. If you have a strong background in payroll operations and enjoy working in a collaborative environment, this role is designed for you.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process and manage regular payroll cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of employee compensation.<br>• Verify and reconcile employee hours, time sheets, and related records to maintain payroll integrity.<br>• Handle benefit administration tasks, including enrolment, updates, and coordination with payroll systems.<br>• Conduct payment processing activities, ensuring compliance with relevant tax and deduction regulations.<br>• Maintain knowledge of Canadian payroll standards, applying them to daily operations.<br>• Identify and resolve discrepancies in payroll data through systematic reconciliation and analysis.<br>• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure payroll-related inquiries are addressed promptly and effectively.<br>• Generate detailed payroll reports and summaries for management review and auditing purposes.<br>• Stay informed on updates to payroll legislation and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll administration or a related field.<br>• Strong understanding of Canadian payroll standards and regulations.<br>• Proficiency in processing payroll and managing benefit functions.<br>• Ability to verify, reconcile, and analyze payroll data with high attention to detail.<br>• Experience with payment processing and maintaining compliance with tax regulations.<br>• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.<br>• Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and address employee inquiries.<br>• Knowledge of payroll software and systems is preferred.
