AP AR Payroll Manager
We are looking for an AP AR Payroll Manager to join a non-profit organization in West Vancouver, British Columbia in a contract capacity with the potential to become permanent. This position combines payroll leadership with accounts receivable support, with an initial emphasis on revenue-related invoicing and ongoing responsibility for payroll accuracy across multiple entities. The successful candidate will bring strong reconciliation experience, sound judgement, and the ability to guide day-to-day work while stepping into complex payroll matters as needed.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee payroll processing for nine entities, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on schedule.<br>• Review payroll calculations, prepare remittances for statutory deductions, and support compliance with Canadian payroll requirements, including CPP, EI, income tax, pensions, and records of employment.<br>• Complete payroll reconciliations and post related journal entries manually where systems are not integrated.<br>• Provide day-to-day leadership to payroll and accounts payable team members, offering direction, oversight, and support on priorities and workflow.<br>• Take ownership of complex payroll issues, investigate discrepancies, and resolve exceptions in a timely manner.<br>• Coordinate with leaders across multiple companies to confirm approvals, timesheet accuracy, and payroll readiness.<br>• Support accounts receivable activities with an early focus on revenue invoicing and billing administration.<br>• Prepare and review financial information related to payroll and assist with accurate reporting across the organization.
• At least 5 years of payroll experience, including supervisory responsibility and hands-on reconciliation work.<br>• Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll practices, statutory remittances, payroll tax reporting, and related compliance requirements.<br>• Proven ability to prepare payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll accounts accurately.<br>• Confidence in researching payroll rules independently and applying findings to real-world situations.<br>• Experience working with payroll systems and Excel in a high-volume environment.<br>• Background supporting multiple business units or entities with differing operational needs.<br>• Experience with UKG Pro and NetSuite is considered an asset.
