Sustainability Analyst
We are looking for a dedicated Sustainability Analyst to join our team in Vancouver, British Columbia. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in advancing sustainability initiatives within the real estate and property industry. This role involves analyzing data, supporting reporting programs, and contributing to impactful environmental strategies.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Review and analyze energy, water, and waste data to support sustainability reporting initiatives.<br>• Calculate and validate historical data and submeter readings to ensure accurate submissions for emissions reporting.<br>• Conduct year-over-year checks and assist with emission factor calculations to maintain compliance with reporting standards.<br>• Facilitate the transition of data from existing systems to new software platforms, ensuring seamless integration.<br>• Assist in the completion of sustainability data files and other reporting requirements as needed.<br>• Provide support for ad-hoc sustainability projects and initiatives as they arise.<br>• Collaborate with corporate teams to advance environmental strategies and decarbonization efforts.<br>• Maintain accurate records and documentation to support organizational sustainability goals.<br>• Develop insights from data analysis to inform strategic decisions.<br>• Ensure compliance with industry standards and sustainability best practices.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in sustainability, analytics, or a related field.<br>• Proficiency in working with utility data, including energy, water, and waste metrics.<br>• Familiarity with Energy Management Systems (EMS) or similar platforms is advantageous.<br>• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey findings and strategies.<br>• Advanced skills in Excel and experience with database management.<br>• Ability to build and sustain cooperative relationships in a collaborative team environment.<br>• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret and manage complex data.<br>• Passion for sustainability and a commitment to mitigating climate change.
