Senior Director Marketing and Sales
<p>Senior Director, Marketing and Sales</p><p>Our client, a prominent leader in the insurance and financial planning sector, is seeking a dynamic Senior Director, Marketing and Sales to drive growth and member engagement across Ontario and Atlantic Canada. With a commitment to trusted advisory support, innovative marketing strategies, and a highly collaborative culture, this organization partners with professionals to provide exceptional insurance and retirement planning solutions.</p><p>Position Overview</p><p> As the Senior Director, Marketing and Sales, you will lead a large, high-performing advisory team with a mandate to grow the insurance and retirement planning portfolio. This role is ideal for a strategic sales leader who also embraces thoughtfully integrated marketing initiatives and a passion for building lasting member relationships.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Develop and execute integrated strategies for sales, advisory, and marketing initiatives designed to boost member engagement, drive insurance sales, and strengthen brand loyalty.</li><li>Lead and mentor a team of more than 18 advisors and manage two Directors, fostering operational excellence and a culture of compliance, consistency, and outstanding service.</li><li>Actively participate in key sales conversations, coaching teams, collaborating cross-functionally with product, service, and education teams, and shaping the organization’s narrative and overall member experience.</li><li>Champion alignment between marketing, sales, and advisory support to advance business development, member acquisition, and retention goals.</li></ul><p><br></p>
<p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>Active LLQP life insurance licence is required.</li><li>Minimum 10 years of people leadership in a sales environment, with direct experience coaching sales managers and advisors.</li><li>In-depth expertise in financial services, specifically in insurance and advanced retirement planning.</li><li>Proven track record in sales, marketing, and business development within complex advisory organizations.</li><li>Skilled in using technology, including CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), and modern sales enablement tools.</li><li>Exceptional communication and feedback delivery skills.</li><li>Post-secondary degree in business, marketing, commerce, or a related discipline.</li><li>Strong operational discipline and deep understanding of compliance standards.</li><li>High accountability for KPIs and team performance.</li><li>Must reside in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) or be able to commute for required in-office days.</li></ul><p>Compensation & Benefits</p><ul><li>Base salary of $130,000 plus a 13% annual bonus.</li><li>Comprehensive benefits package, including an employer-matched pension program.</li><li>Four weeks of vacation plus an additional four weeks per year to work remotely from anywhere in the world.</li><li>Hybrid work environment with two mandatory in-office days (Wednesday & Thursday).</li></ul><p>Why Join This Organization?</p><ul><li>Dedicated to professional development, including paid industry designations and ongoing education.</li><li>Flexible, supportive, and highly collaborative team culture with a unified “one team” approach.</li><li>Opportunity to deliver a high-value member experience through innovative advisory and marketing programs.</li></ul><p>To Apply</p><p> If you are a growth-oriented leader ready to shape the future of insurance and financial planning through strategic marketing and sales leadership, we want to connect with you.
