Facilities Assistant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Facilities Assistant to support our operations in Toronto, Ontario. This is a contract position within the retail industry, offering an opportunity to contribute to essential facilities management tasks. The role involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at maintaining smooth day-to-day operations in a dynamic work environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Conduct desk-by-desk assessments to document key numbers and locations.<br>• Monitor and restock coffee stations to ensure supplies are consistently available.<br>• Distribute necessary stock items across the facility as required.<br>• Prepare and install name tags for employees and workspaces.<br>• Assist with general facilities upkeep and maintenance tasks as assigned.<br>• Collaborate with vendors and service providers to support operational needs.<br>• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track and manage tasks.<br>• Respond to internal requests and inquiries with a focus on customer service and efficiency.
• Previous experience in facilities management or a related field.<br>• Proficiency with CMMS and other relevant systems such as IBM AS/400 and Kronos Timekeeping.<br>• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.<br>• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.<br>• Familiarity with office operations and vendor coordination.<br>• Competence in using tools and equipment related to facilities tasks.<br>• A proactive and service-oriented approach to problem-solving.
